Ben Tre Export Import Joint Stock Company was established in 1977 by the Department of Aquatic Products. It started as a very small workshop with just a few workers and a capacity of less than 100 tonnes per year. Now after more than 40 years of processing and development, it has become one of the most reliable seafood processing and exporting companies in Vietnam.

As the seafood processing industry develops, the investment in aquaculture is also increasing, typically underlining the pond for catfish ponds at Tien Thuy Seed Camp and Con Ban Pangasius Farm.

After 2 years of raising pangasius in ponds, the economic efficiency has been greatly improved: cleaning ponds easily, saving time, cost of pond care and cleaning; Being able to take initiative in water resources and control fish diseases should be less risky.

Ponds for catfish ponds are considered effective models and are being replicated in the provinces of the Mekong Delta.
