On March 22, at the Institute of Marine Technology, AT & T, Naue Group (Germany), BBG Design Consulting Company (Germany) in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Technology held a seminar on "Design Structured anti-erosion of river banks and seashores using Soft Rock Geotechnical Materials for Mekong-Vietnam.

The workshop was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Van Thanh - Chief of the Institution, with the participation of officials and engineers designing centers under the Institute of Marine Technology, Ministry of Disaster Prevention and Control, Irrigation Department of Soc Trang Province, Hau Giang Province, etc.
At the seminar, two main topics were presented:

- Application of geotechnical materials in coastal protection against landslide in Tra Vinh province by Mr. Nguyen Ba Cao - Director of Consulting, Application and Technology Transfer Center.

- Application of geotechnical materials - Soft Rock in the design of riverbank protection structures in the Mekong Delta - Vietnam by Ms. Pries - Chief Engineer of BBG Design Consulting Company (Germany).

With useful information, the design method is updated and proven through experimental models and works have applied Soft Rock successfully in the world, Soft Rock will be an effective solution for the results. Prevention of river bank erosion not only for the Mekong River but also for other areas.
