As planned, Tan Long landfill has a closed system: Garbage treatment plant, processing waste into organic fertilizer, micro-biological fertilizer, dykes ... with investment capital of 46 billion. After 6 years of operation (September 2005), many items of unfinished works have caused a series of shortcomings and began to cause serious environmental pollution. With the response of people living around the area, Can Tho City Urban One Member Limited Company decided to close the landfill by using HDPE cover.

AT & T has consulted and signed a contract to supply HDPE membrane to Can Tho Urban Public Works Company for this project.
