Nghi Son is the key economic zone of Thanh Hoa province. Apart from petrochemical refineries, there are also small and medium enterprises in many fields such as agro-forestry and seafood processing and agricultural and consumer products. Despite the economic benefits, the operation of industrial clusters has made the environmental picture in this area very alarming. The Nghi Son Waste Treatment Plant is an investment project with a total capital of up to US $ 140 million aimed at improving the current environment in a bad direction. Nghi Son rubbish is an important item of concern for designers, especially the waterproofing of the bottom to ensure absolute safety for the environment. Particularly in the design of hazardous waste treatment boxes first appeared in burial sites in Vietnam.
According to this design, the waterproofing system for harmful cells is nearly 10 layers. At the bottom is a layer of non-woven geotextile (VDKT), followed by a 90cm thick clay layer, followed by a 2mm thick HDPE membrane and above the VDKT layer. Next to the sand layer, the next 4 layers repeat in order as the first four layers and the top layer is a 1mm thick HDPE membrane that protects the rain.
The design has reached the safety and has been approved, but the actual construction has a problem that local natural conditions do not meet the volume of clay needed, if transported from another place will. The cost of transportation is high and the incidents in terms of progress and safety in land management are also very likely. After studying and consulting with AT & T's agent in Vietnam, the Bentucix® NSP4000 GCL waterproofing membrane has been selected to replace the compacted clay.
GCL Bentofix® NSP4000 waterproofing membrane is a GCL double-layered geotextile, which binds waterproof bentonite in the core. Numerous studies indicate that the Bentocix® NSP4000 GCL waterproofing membrane can easily withstand at least 30% difference in settlement without compromising any hydraulic performance and therefore is perfectly suitable for use. On the surface there are different expected settlement. In addition, the 2-layer nonwoven surface allows for extremely good cross-sectional resistance on slopes of 28-30 degrees, which allows the design slope to be higher than the original 18 degrees. A total of over 18,000 m2 of GCL waterproofing membrane has been installed here. The consulting company is a design company from India, the construction work done by Naue's agent in Vietnam is AT & T.
