Over the past years, the economy of Quang Nam has been growing very fast and achieved many important achievements. The downside of rapid economic development, however, is the increasing amount of waste, the hazardous nature of waste, including solid waste.

In the above situation, the provincial People's Committee has approved the project of solid waste management in rural areas of Quang Nam province to 2020 with the objective of developing synchronously the waste management, collection and treatment system. rural areas in the province to control pollution, protect the environment, health of the people; contributing to the good implementation of the objective of sustainable socio-economic development. Within the framework of this project, Tam Xuan 2 waste treatment and disposal area, Nui Thanh district, is one of the environmental hotspots which are paid special attention by the PPC.

After a period of survey, the design and project of "Renovation and upgrading of environmental items of Tam Xuan 2 waste treatment and disposal area, Nui Thanh district" was officially implemented in April / 2017. The project is invested by the project management board of Quang Nam province. After completion, it is expected to thoroughly resolve the environmental pollution that has been left in the area for many years. The total amount of waterproofing materials used in the project is 75,000 m2 of 1.5mm HDPE waterproofing membrane.
